• 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bananas, mashed well
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Lyla loves banana bread and we make it all the time.  I decided to change things up with this chocolate version and I’m so glad we tried it.  This is so good and moist and awesome.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 and grease one 9×5 loaf pan.  In a large bowl cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.  Next, stir in bananas and vanilla.  Sift in flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder.  Blend well.  Stir in sour cream and chocolate chips until incorporated.  Pour into pan.  Bake for 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean.
