• 2 bags of butter light microwave popcorn
  • 2 Cups brown sugar
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1/2 Cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

This recipe is one of my Grandma’s famous recipes. I really don’t know how long it has been in the family but my mom would always make it for us as kids. So delicious AND at the same time VERY addicting.

Directions:

Pop two bags of popcorn, remove all unpopped kernels, spread out on two greased baking sheets. Make sure you spray pam or something on the cookie sheets or else it takes you forever to get the pans clean (Just speaking from experience :/). In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil for 5 min, stirring intermittently.  Take off heat and add cream of tarter and baking soda, and stir until well mixed. Pour caramel mixture evenly over two trays of popcorn. Stir to coat popcorn. Put in oven at 200 for one hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Corn will dry out and separate when cooled down. Store in airtight container.
