• 1 (4-5 pound) beef roast, if using a 1-3 pound roast, cut the remaining ingredients in half
  • 1 package Brown Gravy Mix, dry
  • 1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix, dry
  • 1 package Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix, dry
  • 1 Cup water
Tis’ the season for comfort food! I’m a huge fan of the Crockpot. Nothing better than taking 5 minutes out of your morning to throw something in there and have an effortless meal by dinner time. My friend Jessica had me try this recipe. SO tasty! I suggest you try it too! It comes from food.com, it had 1,300 five star reviews.


Put the roast in the crock pot. Mix all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Sprinkle over roast. Pour water around roast. Cook on low 7-9 hours.

*I cut the recipe in half using a 1.5 pound roast. At about hour 7, I took the roast out, cut it into 1 inch pieces, put all the meat back in the crockpot and continued to cook for another hour. When done, I added a little cornstarch to thicken up the sauce and served it over mashed potatoes. MMMM!

*You can also add veggies of your choice!
