• 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1/2 C. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 1/2 stalks of celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 large plastic jar of Ragu Spaghetti Sauce

Such a comfort food. Nothing like a meatball sub! I always forget about these for a dinner option. This meatball recipe is from my friend Jessica. It’s been in her family for years. She has to be probably the most pickiest eater that I know, so when she recommends something, you know that it’s good!

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Finely chop around 4 Tbsp. each of the green pepper, onion, and celery. Save the remainder of the veggies to add to the Ragu sauce.  Add to ground meat along with the heavy whipping cream, oregano, italian seasoning, and salt & pepper. Mix well with hands until well combined (Don’t forget to take your rings off first!). Form meatballs and place on a greased cookie sheet. This makes around 20-25 meatballs depending on the size you make them. Bake in oven for 25 min. Add the meatballs to the sauce along with the leftover green pepper, onion, and celery cut in large chunks. Simmer on low for 2 hours.
