I probably post too many buffalo flavored recipes, but I can’t help myself!  We love this one and I always double it so we can have leftovers!  I have been raving about this burger to Casey for months.  It’s pretty healthy for you.  Better than a regular burger… good for those New Year Resolutions!  Also, these burgers are not very spicy.  The hot sauce just gives it a good flavor, so add some extra of your favorite hot sauce if you like more of a kick!

Oh, and don’t skip the broccoli slaw!  The crunch is awesome!  I had never even heard of broccoli slaw until I came across this recipe.  You can find it next to the regular coleslaw in most produce sections.

If you don’t want to make the light blue cheese dressing to combine with the broccoli slaw and you want a short cut you could just use blue cheese dressing or probably ranch dressing (if you don’t like blue cheese).  If you want to make the blue cheese dressing (it’s good!!!) here’s the recipe!

Light Blue Cheese Dressing Recipe: Combine yogurt and blue cheese together in a small bowl and mash together with a fork.  Then, add mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice, and garlic powder and stir.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Combine 1/4 cup of this (or pre-made dressing) with the broccoli slaw in a bowl and set aside.

Burger Recipe: Combine ground turkey, carrots, breadcrumbs, garlic, hot sauce, and salt and pepper in a big bowl and mix well.  Hands work best for this job!  Divide mixture into 4 equal parts and make burger patties.  Then, heat skillet on medium-high heat.  Lightly spray with cooking oil if necessary.  Cook the burgers 4-5 minutes per side until nicely browned and meat is cooked all the way through.  Place on a bun and top with a slice of cheese and broccoli slaw.
